Have you noticed that time feels different lately?

Not just busy. Not just full.

It feels as though the hours disappear before they’ve even begun. The weeks blur into months, and somehow we’re already asking ourselves, “Where did the year go?”

Nearly every week, someone tells me the same thing:

“I don’t have enough time.”
“I’m always behind.”
“I keep meaning to take care of myself, but life gets in the way.”

As a medical and wellness astrologer, I can’t help but think about Saturn.

Known as the Lord of Time, Saturn represents the steady rhythms of life—aging, responsibility, discipline, structure, patience, and the wisdom that can only be gained through experience. Saturn reminds us that life unfolds in seasons and that lasting growth rarely happens overnight.

But lately, Saturn has felt different to me.

Instead of symbolizing slow and steady progress, it feels as though many of us have become the White Rabbit from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland—running through life with a clock in our hands, convinced we’re always late for something.

Always rushing.

Always trying to catch up.

Always believing that if we move just a little faster, we’ll finally have enough time.

Yet somehow, we never do.

Whether this is simply our modern world or something reflected through astrology’s symbolic language, many people describe the same experience: time seems to move faster than it once did. Days become weeks. Weeks become months. Before we’ve had a chance to pause, another season has arrived.

From a wellness perspective, that constant sense of urgency matters.

Our nervous systems were designed with natural rhythms in mind. We need periods of activity balanced with periods of rest. When we spend too much time living in “go” mode, our bodies often begin whispering for our attention before eventually demanding it.

In medical astrology, Saturn is associated with the skeletal system, the bones, joints, teeth, skin, connective tissues, and the natural aging process. These are the structures that support us throughout our lives. They remind us that true strength is built gradually through consistency, resilience, and care—not through constant urgency.

Saturn also teaches us about longevity.

When we neglect rest, ignore stress, skip nourishment, or push beyond our limits day after day, we aren’t simply borrowing time—we may be asking our bodies to carry more than they were designed to hold.

To me, that’s one of Saturn’s greatest wellness lessons.

Our bodies keep time.

Every heartbeat.

Every breath.

Every sleep cycle.

Every season of life.

The body has its own sacred clock, and it cannot be rushed forever.

Perhaps that is why so many people are feeling exhausted despite accomplishing more than ever before.

We’ve become experts at managing schedules while forgetting to honor our own rhythms.

What if Saturn isn’t asking us to do more?

What if Saturn is asking us to become more intentional with the time we already have?

What if slowing down isn’t falling behind?

What if slowing down is how we finally reconnect with ourselves?

The White Rabbit teaches us what life feels like when we’re constantly chasing the clock.

Saturn teaches us that wellness begins when we stop believing we’re in a race.

This week, I invite you to try something beautifully simple.

Step outside without your phone.

Take ten slow breaths.

Notice the breeze.

Feel your feet on the earth.

Drink your tea or coffee without multitasking.

Allow yourself a few moments where nothing needs to be accomplished.

Those quiet moments aren’t wasted.

They are an investment in your well-being.

Perhaps the greatest gift Saturn offers isn’t more time.

Perhaps it is the wisdom to fully inhabit the time we already have.

Because when we honor time, we also honor ourselves.
